BUSES –Buses will run from Tennants at 8.45am in the morning and the last bus will leave Low Moor and the Main Bus Stop in Middleham at 16.30 in the afternoon to return to Tennants. Please note Tennants will be closing at 17.00 pm.
PARKING – The main car park is on Low Moor, there is limited parking at The Busks just outside the main town DL84PP, and blue badge parking is at The Key Centre Park Lane, Middleham, DL8 4RA. Tennants in Leyburn, Tennants Auction Centre, Harmby Rd, Leyburn DL8 5SG. have a hardstanding carpark (see above)
TOILETS – Toilets are located on Low Moor (including accessible toilets) and at the bottom end of the town, there are also public toilets to be found alongside the Racing Welfare office in the Market Place. We kindly ask that only patrons of local businesses use their facilities – thank you for your cooperation.
DOGS – Dogs are welcome to the open day and open stables, please keep them on a lead and dispose of any waste. Some buses will allow well-behaved dogs on board at the owners’ own risk and don’t forget to enter the dog show!
RAFFLE TICKETS – There are some great prizes up for offer in this year’s raffle, tickets are £1 each and are available at various locations throughout the open day. Check back here for the winning numbers after the event.
CLOSING TIMES – Please note the closing times of the individual yards, Karl Burke and Edward Bethell close at the earlier time of 12.30, and all other yards close at 13.00. The last entry to all yards is 30 minutes before the advertised closing time. There will need to be a cut-off for boarding buses for the circular route at 12.15 pm, this is to ensure people are not disappointed as arrival would be when the yards are closing.
TICKETS – Tickets can be purchased on the day from the car parks, the main market square or from most opening yards, there are limited card facilities available on the day.
VOLUNTEERS AND STEWARDS – We have a large number of stewards and volunteers helping on the day, all are on hand to offer help and guidance.
